A magical escape in the hills – pet-friendly paradise We stayed at Rolling Hills Farmstead and it was absolutely exceptional. Tucked away in the remote, rolling hills of Tesselaarsdal, the location is incredibly private and peaceful—perfect for a true escape. The guesthouse itself is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Justin and Tiaan have created a space where every detail has been considered—from the stunning indoor ceramic fireplace that warmed the space perfectly, to the quality gas stove and oven that made cooking a pleasure. Outside, there’s a gorgeous undercover entertainment area with a built-in fireplace, dining table, and loungers, as well as a beautiful wood-fired hot tub that’s perfect for sunset (or morning!) soaks. One of the highlights for us was that the property is pet-friendly. The entire space is fully fenced with a beautiful wooden boundary and an invisible chicken mesh that keeps your dogs safe and secure—without compromising the view or the aesthetic. You can truly relax, knowing they can’t venture off into the fields. Even with rainy, windy weather during our stay, we still had the most beautiful quality time together. This place is an absolute gem for anyone looking for privacy, tranquility, and luxury—whether with loved ones or furry companions. Highly recommend!
